What does one wear to such and event?
I was once falsely accused of a crime. By the day of the trial, I understood that if I was found guilty, I would go straight from the courtroom to prison.
What does one wear to such an event?
Do I take my wallet? Do I take my watch and ring? What about the car keys and the house keys?
What preparations for my estate would be necessary if I was to be incarcerated and unable to manage my business?
I was forced to “plan for the worst”.
30 minutes before the trial was to start the powers that be, came to my attorney and tried to get me to plead to a lesser crime and avoid jail and the trial. I refused. Why would I plead guilty to something that I did not do?
15 minutes before the trial, the powers that be, told my attorney that they were dismissing the case.
Then I went home.
All that trauma …
On a related topic, Jesus’ first coming in 33 AD was on what we call Palm Sunday. I think it was actually a Monday. In any event, when He rode into Jerusalem and was asked to quiet the people from singing, He said that if they be quiet the rocks would cry out. That day in history was Nisan 10, the day that the Jewish people were to select their Passover lamb.
Jesus was God’s lamb selection.
That event occurred exactly 173,880 days after the Nisan 1, 444 BC decree to restore and rebuild the defensive wall of the City. It was the end of the 69th “week” of the prophecy given to Daniel. It was the arrival of the King prophesied by Zechariah and the beginning of an unknown length of time referred to as the “prophetic gap”.
One possible calculation as to when Jesus will return is to look at the scheduled Palm Sunday 2,000 years later?
Consider 4,000 years from Adam to Jesus arriving as King, plus an unknown time “X” from that event to His second coming, and a known 1,000 years of His Millennial reign. Plug in a guess of 2,000 years for “X” and we get a total of 7,000 years for day 7 of creation. 7 “days” of creation times 7,000 years per day = 49,000 years. We would then have a Jubilee type period starting the 8th day when we know from Revelation that God resumes creating … a new heavens and new earth.
If “X” = 2,000 years, then April 10, 2033 is our day … Palm Sunday.
Back up from that day a total of 7 Jewish years of 360 days each (the last “week” of Daniel’s prophecy) and we get to May 17, 2026, a possible start of that last prophetic “week”.
Yet another guess is a possible rapture 3 days (an ominous number) earlier on May 14, the day we celebrate Jesus’ “ascension” into heaven. A day that is also the birthdate of the modern nation of Isreal.
As usual, these guesses have a low probability of coming true, but if they are right, then in just hours some of us will be in the presence of the Father with the Angels singing. What an incredible thought that our world could change so drastically in just a few hours?
What does one wear to an event like that?
How does one position themself for that possibility?
It made me recognize that I should be more prepared to be in His glory at any moment. Less worry about the tyranny of the urgent. More focus on His will.
